Who Is
Hector the Director
People and time can come and go but there’s a consistency to a piece of media, a return ticket to travel to the past
It all started with a borrowed camera, filming my friends after school and making edits late night on the family computer. Fast forward a couple years, I got a job in a photography studio earning £4 an hour retouching images. I learnt a lot and was able to get the ball rolling
The permanence of media has always been something that I’m drawn to. The preparation and presentation of the video clips and sound determining the level of immersion the viewer experiences.
One of my main strengths is my workrate. I am used to having brands call me late at night for a last minute shoot on the next day. Having to pull together equipment, crew and locations. Along with 24 hour edit turnarounds, all while communicating and plus knowing and confirming with them if it all is possible with the time and resources available.
My plan for the future is to continue growing - I also want to go from being a one-man band to having a team I work with on every project.
